Fourth edition of ABC's 'The Bachelor' opens with biggest audience ever, but NBC still dominates the overall timeslot ratings
Despite getting crushed by the season premieres of NBC's resurgent "West Wing" and powerhouse "Law & Order" (which placed ninth and fourth respectively in the overall weekly ratings) in the total viewers ratings, the season premiere of "The Bachelor" won its 2-hour time slot among Adults 18-34, beating "West Wing" and "Law & Order" by 12% on average (5.8/17 vs. 5.2/15).
